Sommer is a U17 attacking midfielder who scores, creates, and competes with joy. In 2025 she posted 13 goals & 14 assists for East Chapel Hill - then stepped onto the other side of the whistle as an NCSRA / USSF Grassroots referee.

She has represented the United States through US Youth Futsal national team pathways: France 2023, Spain 2024, Great Britain 2025 - writing a travel diary in cleats.
